1.For the Pleasure of Allah

“What you say should be for the Pleasure of Allah; what you do should be for the Pleasure of Allah.”

Before, during and after speaking or doing any deed, quickly check if it was for the pleasure of Allah Ta’ala.

2. Within the Confines of the Shariah

“Everything should be done fully and continually within the confines of the Ahkaam – the Shariah.”

Ensuring compliance to the Shariah, anything done out of the confines of the Shariah is not accepted by Allah Ta’ala.

 3.Proficiency in Disseminating the Haq

“Inculcate such understanding of the Deen that if someone approaches you for an academic discussion then you do not cower at disseminating the Haq.”

How proficient should the Ulama be?

4. Ilm Alone Is Not Enough

“Shaitaan had Ilm, but neither was he a Faqeeh nor was his Akhlaaq reformed.”

Ilm in attending a Darul Uloom is not enough, until one applies it to one’s self-reformation.
